MOV file up in SnapMotion and can then choose the best frame from the video. In Mac Photos if you export a LIVE photo using the unmodified option you end up with 2 files. I have not used Snapmotion to its full but 2 places where I have found it to be very useful are when working with iPhone Slo Mo videos and LIVE photos. Great for extracting the best Frame from Video Batch processing and advanced exporting formats are exclusive to the Mac version. Please note that the application is universal.
